I was researching Great Depression Era recipes and came across this website. Tried the molasses cookies and they are ok, like graham crackers, only much grainier. I guess I needed to grind the oats more finely.

I just went to the "Great Depression Recipes" website you recommended. Good one; I've got to try the Hot Dog cassarole!! It's just amazing what you can make with noodles, ground beef, tomatoes, and cheese! They have a lot of recipes with bacon for flavoring-yum...I love a good cassaroles in the fall and winter to warm the ol' belly--ahhhhhhh...
