Attempting a Sweater...

Here is what I started last night:

Right now with the parties, preparing for the school Christmas play, and making gifts, it feels like time is too short to blog more! For some reason I still have time to start a knitting project ...hmmm. I am finally attempting a sweater now that I have found a pattern I can understand!
This pattern, however, is tried and true. If you know how to do three types of stitches you can knit this dishcloth. It makes a nice kitcheny stocking stuffer, or you can wrap it up as a wash cloth with a bar of sweet-scented bath soap. This is a quick one!
Square Dish Cloth
Cast on 3 stitches. Tie a square knot. Leave a 6-in. tail to weave in when you are finished.
Slip 1, knit 1, yarn over, k 1-4 stitches. Turn.
Slip 1, knit 1, yarn over, k to end. Turn.
Repeat til you have 42 stitches. Turn.
Slip 1, knit 2 together, yarn over, knit two together, knit to end. Turn.
Repeat til you have 4 stitches, then slip 1, knit 2 together, cast off, knit last stitch, cast off, cut 6 in.
Pull through last stitch. Weave in ends.
