Current Read

If you haven't read Cheaper by the Dozen, you simply MUST! See, I'm already talking retro. If you have watched the semi-recent movie, which was entirely unworthy of bearing its title, you have been more than cheated out of an amazing story. (There are a couple rare places in the book where a word or two must be bleeped out.)

This is the story of a very unusual family of 12 children set around the time of W.W.I. I was fascinated by the educational methods employed and by the historical setting. And I don't even know how many times I've read this book and still, I am laughing! Yeah.

I don't know about the older movies...I haven't seen them yet. But every movie I've seen that came from a book was just not as good. Although I have to say The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Anne of Green Gables on DVD were quite satisfying, and remain all-time favorites!

Cheaper by the Dozen ranks on my top three list. How often do you come across a laugh-out -loud book? (I've heard Belles on Their Toes, the sequel, is quite the jolly read as well. Can't wait to buy it.) Just thought I'd put up a raving review. Absolutely fantastic!
